Just a little…

I ask for a little more time to live a little. To reach out a little more to those I’ve left behind on this journey called life. To care a little more and to love just the same. Just a little more space to be free. To stretch my arms out a little and to feel the beyond; Not all of it, just a little bit. And to embrace that little piece as my own. My own little universe.
I seek a little more hope and dream that one day I’ll raise a little kid in a little house somewhere on this little blue rock. That I’ll live a little longer to see their smiles and their dreams come true. That the world will be gentle upon their little souls and that they may find a little peace. But that’s aiming for too little. I want them to go beyond the little into the large and the grand. To embrace this world and see it for what it is: little.
This could be little more than a dream. A ghost of a future never lived, a little fragment of possibility. A fork on the road untraveled, even a little. But we know little of what lies ahead. And the challenge lies in accepting that as truth and daring to dream, to change, to grow, to reach out and grasp the little light ahead. For we must move forward, whether we crawl, run, swim or fly; For we must move forward; even a little.
