Beware love’s kiss, She is a sweet temptress, Sneaking past your defenses, To assault your fortress. Hopping over your walls. She climbs up the vines of your heart To whisper in through the window of your soul. Your cold gates to part.
She shimmies past the curtains, And calls the moon to sing. A sweet serenade for your slumber, And gorgeous dreams to bring. She saunters to the bed, Where you rest unknowing And plants a kiss on your head Your passion ever-growing.
She lays down beside you, And caresses your hair, As you move from dream to dream, She is ever there. And as the dawn breaks, And the sun kisses the morn, You realise you needed no light, For she was there all along.
