And Enjoying Them

There’s a beauty to quiet moments, It’s in the slow silent sounds of the night, The slight shift in temperature, The whispering wind beyond the window,
It lies in a shared smile, a jointly captured moment. It flies across the horizon and embraces it, Kissing the yellow sunset and coming home, Sunbeams in hand.
It lies in appreciating beauty, In seeing the best in a murky world. In seeing the truth behind sad eyes, In embracing others and ourselves.
There’s a beauty to quiet moments, It reaches out through the chaos, Climbing out of the muck with a single wish, To be embraced, to be seen, to be loved.
It lies in a quiet chuckle alone, The unshared joke, the unwitting grin, The silent rumination in the corridors of humour, And all that is encompassed within.
It lies in the words of a poem, Gracing a nondescript evening, Making a quiet stage entrance And planting a smile on your face
Yours, Always,
Lawrence
